PhotoBest: Bread on Blocks

November 30, 2010

Welcome back to the Tuesday tradition here at ATB, where we take a break from all the serious business of making fun of the process of raising support, and we make fun of a photo, instead. This week’s photo should provide some great fodder for discussion.

Behold, the reason your pastry order was late:

What do you think is the backstory here? Your comment has to include the words “wedding,” “orangutan,” and “fair-trade.” (Just for fun)

Zookeeper Bill was at a wedding he had driven to in the old bread delivery truck he acquired on craigslist in a ‘fair-trade’ for an amazonian poison dart gun and two baby pygmy marmosets (they were actually never going to survive the winter at the Detroit City Zoo, he did them a favor) so that he could have more room to haul his particularly prank proned orangutans around town.

The lesson of this picture is: don’t leave your orangutan’s in the van for extended periods of time, especially after they’ve been used as a part of University research project on the dexterity of primates with simple mechanical tools.
